STEPHEN KESHI TO SUE NFF, DEMANDS 1 BILLION NAIRA

An Abuja based lawyer and human right activist, Barrister Esther Uzoma has backed former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi’s decision to sue the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, for 1billion naira for defamation and wrongful sacking.
Keshi has reportedly notified the NFF on his decision to sue the football house for N1billion for allegedly defaming his character in the process of sacking him.
The barrister added that it is important to examine the terms of Keshi’s contract with the NFF and that it is for the court to determine who is liable

Keshi was sacked on July 5, three months after he signed a new two-year contract with the NFF. The football house claimed he was not working in line with the corporate objectives of the Federation.

COACH STEPHEN KESHI TO DRAG NFF TO COURT
Meanwhile, The Organisation and Disciplinary Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has warned former Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi to quickly withdraw the legal action he instituted against the federation or be ready for monumental disgrace, stating that the federation has incriminating evidences to floor him in court. Reacting to the next line of action for the NFF, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Barrister Iyke Igbokwe stressed that Keshi’s advisers only want to extort money from him, stressing that he would resign as a lawyer if Keshi wins the case in court. While insisting that Keshi would have sued the Cote d’Ivoire football federation for short listing wrongly or rightly among the 29 applicants for the then vacant job, Igbokwe said they have overwhelming evidence to win Keshi in court.
