Rwandan
club Kiyovu have sacked newly appointed Nigerian coach, Samuel Amamba, just
three days after his appointment to the job for failing to produce valid
documents, The New Times of Rwanda has reported.
Kiyovu’s
Secretary General, Elie Manirarora, said that the club had terminated Amamba’s
contract after he failed to submit the original copy of the CAF B coaching
license which he claimed to have obtained from his home country.
He
said, “He gave us a photocopy of his documents and we asked him to bring the
original copies but he failed which proved he might have forged the papers so
we terminated the contract.”
The
Mumena-based club announced on Wednesday that they appointed Amamba as the
team’s head coach on a one-year contract until the end of the season which is
scheduled to get underway on September 18.
